The Vertex 75

Vertex 75 Gallon

In 2006, A.O. Smith Water Heaters launched a residential heater that can easily tackle the demands of today’s household as well as handle the call to Green when designing or remodeling residences. Along with the U.S. Department of Energy, A.O. Smith developed The Vertex - a 90% efficient water heater. With the use of the latest technology the heater has the attributes of a 75 gallon unit with the footprint of a 50 gallon heater. This smaller footprint saves you on labor of installation.

A.O. Smith is a highly respected water heater company with a history of delivering innovative hot water solutions for over 70 years. A.O. Smith has an assorted collection of water heaters, boilers and storage tanks that are the energy efficient solutions with maximum value during and years after the installation.

Key Features of the Vertex 75 include:

  • 90% thermal efficiency
  • Power direct venting using low cost PVC Pipe
  • Propane (LP) availability
  • Advanced electronic control with large LCD display
  • Top fired premix burner
  • Helical coil design heat exchanger
  • Quiet operation
  • Meets SCAQMD low NOx requirements
  • Equipped with side taps for combination applications
  • Fully condensing design
  • 76,000 BTU input
  • 1st hour rating of 127 gallons
  • 1st hour recovery of 92 gallons

The Vertex 100

Vertex 100 Gallon

If the Vertex 75 was the endless hot water model, consider the Vertex 100 the “does-cold-water-even-exist?” model.  This 96% thermal efficient heater has the same footprint and the existing Vertex 75 and is a straightforward installation for any retrofit or new application residential job. For your applications that require two heaters, you can now save space by using the Vertex 100 and while saving the homeowner up to 25% on their energy bill in the water portion of the bill.
